Having just returned from this visit to Chattanooga made it all the nicer to meet the proprietors of that city's Vintage Love at The Goat Farm.
It bears repeating: regular postings to The Chattanoogan ceased in July 2010, yet more than 400 page views were recorded during the past thirty days. Chance encounters both here and there cannot account for all such traffic. Chattanooga remains a deep well of style and a wonderful opportunity for street fashion blogging. Anyone?

Hilary Eiseman is "The Purse Lady". Choosing just one bag from her extensive collection was no mean feat, but this vintage Whiting & Davis mesh spoke to the summery afternoon. Her Emmanuelle Khanh python sunnies recall Paris of the 1970's. Find her treasures on second weekends in the Scott Antique Market or thirds at Lakewood 400.

Vintage boots and re-purposed denim apparel from Little Bird Blue bring a southern flair to the roster of clothing and housewares vendors who are celebrating the abundance of what we already have in an eco-chic movement defined by the mantra, reduce, reuse, recycle. At The Goat Farm: Little Bird Blue

Recently a much-loved shirt from years past became trousers for a small boy. While its collar and cuffs had frayed beyond usefulness to me, enough fabric remained for it to be upcycled into something new. Everywhere collectors, designers, entrepreneurs and stylish folk are celebrating the abundance of what we already have in an eco-chic movement defined by the mantra, reduce, reuse, recycle. Vintage boots and re-purposed denim apparel from Little Bird Blue bring a southern flair to the roster of vendors who will be gathering at The Goat Farm June 30-July 1. At The Goat Farm: Chic Racers

IMG_1454
Chic Racers Promo Flyer - Rev3
What has two heels and four wheels? The Chic Racers entry for the Atlanta Red Bull Soapbox Race, of course. When social entrepreneur Rosalynn Wilson asked how the zany competition might promote her company, Georgia Tech students (l-r) David Torello, Jamie Zahorian, Eliot Quon and Kemp Kernstine responded with a plan for a yoked pair of bicycles-as-pumps that just might roll over Nancy Sinatra's boots. Fueled by Red Bull, the quintet are working 'round the clock on behalf of Bottle Bar & Bistro, Chic Boutique Tour, Sage Naturalceuticals and Saving Our Communities. Come to Piedmont Park on June 9 and cheer them down the Tenth Street hill.
