The Westside Provisions Design Week called its opening party
A Really Good Strut and that it was. Atlanta fashionistas were treated to a runway show on the WSPD bridge and afterward,
all the shops welcomed them. Meeting Nashville designer
Kayce Hughes was a pleasure. An extravagant raffle of treats
and treasures benefitted The Ovarian Cancer Institute.
Design Week events will continue through the 13th.

"Not every trunk show looks like this," remarked Natalie Chanin between gospel songs by the famed Gee's Bend quilters. Call it a Southern thing. She fosters a cottage industry that strengthens the very culture from which she draws inspiration for the lifestyle company, Alabama Chanin. The latest in her trademark stitchery is on view today and tomorrow at Billy Reid, 1170 Howell Mill Rd.

On Howell Mill: Tables Turned

Inviting a photographer to appear on this blog resulted in a portrait of me when I encountered Carolyn Carr on the West Side. Paying a complement and hearing the same in return brightened my day. Her puffy sleeves are the work of Chan Lu and came from Ann Mashburn. Sam Edelman wedges of the same hue complete the look. My Charvet shirt was found in Revolution 11, the Onyx belt, Stefan's and the seersucker shorts were thrifted.
L.L. Bean's iconic boat tote is an old friend.

It has been my pleasure, both as a working photographer and fashion blogger, to welcome Calypso St. Barth to Atlanta.

Spring has sprung in Atlanta and Free People are ready with a colorful rainbow of looks. 'Tis a label often cited on this blog, so an invitation to the opening party for their newest store was most welcome. Adam Sams played to a full house and neighboring JCT. Kitchen & Bar provided hors d'oeuvres. Thank you, Naomi Huober and Kristina Street, for thinking of me.
