Christina Swilley first came to my attention in Little Five Points, where she was seen rocking a black romper and a white parasol. Thus began a splendid friendship. With her daughters, she has posed for a Mother's Day post. Says she, Come celebrate the opening of Collect with us! Guest DJ Alix Brown will be playing records. More than just eye catching, some outfits tell wonderful stories, too. She remembers mending this thrifted coat while waiting for a train in France. Her repurposed bag began life as a Polaroid accessories case. The boots were won from an eBay auction and the dress was found at a Youngblood Gallery clothing swap.

Something about her style defied the season and sent me looking through summer's flowers for its complement, a splash of sunshine on mimosa for this soggy December Tuesday. Chiweenie dogs are the product of Chihuahuas and Daschunds.

Fans of the Mooncake boutique in Virginia-Highland, rejoice. All the dreamy goodness you remember is reappearing this weekend at Mooncake (studio). Look for the flower garden and the familiar sign, now at the foot of Drewry Street where it ends at the BeltLine.
