On Ponce De Leon Avenue

Atlanta 1989
Atlanta's other thoroughfare, Ponce De Leon Avenue, divides the city's north from south as Peachtree Street does the east from west. More rough and tumble than the better known boulevard that links Underground Atlanta to Buckhead, it provided a gritty, urban setting for Fred Willard's 1997 hard-boiled masterpiece, down on Ponce.

  1. I love "Down on Ponce"! Well, for the most part. A bit contrived at times. Glad to see you are prowling our hood!

  2. While there are many East Ponce postings from Decatur, this one appears to be the first ever from your hood and long overdue.
