Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead is Facebook COO Cheryl Sandberg's treatise on how to expand the presence of women decision makers in all walks of life. Her TED Talk, "Why we have too few women leaders" has been viewed more than 2.5 million times. The conversation continues in her LeanIn.org non-profit network and inspired the Atlanta NAWBO chapter to assemble a panel to discuss these issues at their June luncheon. If such thought provoking exchanges and business networking appeal to you, consider the many benefits of membership in the National Association Of Women Business Owners.

While shopping in Arizona, a friend admired this dress for its subtle, somber plaid and thought of her. Has anyone else a story of such caring and generosity?

"You can never go wrong where the flight attendants shop," she told me of the amazing scarf, a souvenir of Barcelona. It chimes well with her Lafayette jacket. A little black dress from Anne Klein and Ros Hommerson pumps finish the look. If sharing travel stories and business networking appeal to you, consider the many benefits of membership in the National Association Of Women Business Owners.

"Speak and you shall receive," declares Denise Hedges, who addressed the Atlanta NAWBO chapter luncheon Thursday. While public speaking may not resemble style blogging, the same diplomatic practices apply to the one-on-one encounters that result in these blog postings. They even apply to selling and I will remember her words because the time has come to seek blog sponsors. This forum now generates three hundred page views on a good day. Send me an email line if you would like to reach an audience of stylish Atlantans.

Like a well put together outfit, an organized workspace frees us to be our best. Such was the message from Interior Designer Debby Hall at today's National Association Of Women Business Owners luncheon. Buckhead Club guests enjoyed Caesar salad, salmon with succotash and fruit cobbler by Chef Daniel André.

Entrepreneurs are creative people. Seeing needs and finding novel ways of fulfilling them requires original thinking. Such was the advice given me at the National Association Of Women Business Owners April Mixer. While it is not now in the budget, wrapping my car in Atlanta Street Fashion livery would bring the blog lots of notice. From Buckhead to College Park and the West End to Decatur, it covers a lot of ground. Even parked conspicuously while I ride away on the bike, people would get the message. Maybe for Christmas....
What I did take away from that happy hour was a renewed sense of mission, which shows in the layout. Please take a moment to enjoy the updated portfolio of youth and pets portraiture. Celebrating the beauty around us, be it something worn in the streets or part of your own life, are the images I love most. Thank you, NAWBO, for this wonderful networking opportunity.

An intimate space designed by Brian Watford for Chef Micah Willix, Latitude was the setting for a National Association Of Women Business Owners mixer. Rather than celebrate individuals, these images revel in the convivial atmosphere. If such networking appeals to you, see their website for the many possibilities offered by membership in NAWBO.

Being named Best Fashion Blogger for 2011 by Atlanta Magazine does bring its perks. When last month TOOTSIES hosted the National Association of Women Business Owners' holiday party, I was invited to blog about it here. Thursday's luncheon in the Buckhead Club was more businesslike, but still afforded fashion hunting in a rarefied atmosphere twenty-six stories above Peachtree Road. Guest speaker Annette Saldana gave account of her entrepreneurial insights in a talk called "The Art & Science of Irresistible Requests". I left with a wider network, strengthened optimism and four great looks to share with you. Thanks, NAWBO.
