Some of the most daunting challenges in life can come from within ourselves. Athlete, author, model and mother, Emme visited Atlanta on Friday to share her experiences with a diverse audience who gathered at the Buckhead home of Laura Seydel. From fashions to green living and well being, the good vibes were infectious because these are universal concerns.

At Bottega Veneta

Bottega Veneta translates to Venetian atlelier, a name that connotes old world craftsmanship. Long known for its woven leather technique called intrecciato, the company has opened an Atlanta boutique with a party co-hosted by Laura Turner Seydel and Kirk Posmantur. It was a tactile pleasure to be shown the collections. Imaginative forms and delightful colors share the underpinning of exquisite texture, be they leather or fabric. Even linings offer a secret caress that can't help but boost one's confidence. After all, looking smart comes from within.

The Seersucker Social 2011

Something about a group ride lifts everyone's spirits. Neither the heat nor the hills proved capable of rumpling the Seersucker Social's crisp, summery celebration. From Woodruff Park we rode north on Peachtree Street to pause for popsicles at the gate of Piedmont Park. That sugar energy was soon released in the climb up Virginia Hill.

Along the route, many waved, some invited us to their circus act and the staff of Sauced feted us with peach mojitas.

It was estimated that as much as one third of the world's population watched this kiss. Thank you, Piedmont Park Conservancy, for a regal wedding party, Atlanta style.
