Daron "Farmer D" Joffee to thank for this trend in developing. His epiphany came while eating a turkey sandwich. Where did these ingredients originate and how far had they travelled to feed him? Organically grown and locally sourced foods are better for ourselves and the Earth. His new book Citizen Farmers takes stock of all he has learned from managing farms and csa's and teaching. Last night there was a reception for him at EcoManor, the LEED certified home of Laura and Rutherford Seydel.
