Southwest Atlanta Welcomes The BeltLine
Hundreds gathered yesterday in Adair Park at the Southwest BeltLine Trail gateway for its groundbreaking ceremony. The three mile corridor will connect four schools with four parks and promises more of the transformational magic that the Eastside Trail has wrought in central Atlanta, causing one neighbor to dance with joy. Behind her, the former State Farmers Market awaits redevelopment of its sixteen acres while, across the street, three acres of railbed will become an Urban Farm, all in two years.
