On the train yesterday my bicycle sparked a friendly chat with visitors from Chicago and Ontario who were en route to their flights home. Our bout with the polar vortex must have seemed tame to them, but for hours here it rolled up the streets. These Emory students, however, defied the chill in memorable style.
