Street Scene: McLendon Avenue
The world may be divided between those who thrift and those who do not. The counter arguments are compelling: too much time spent in fruitless pursuit of appealing things that turn out not to be one's size. Even so, she and a friend visited the Douglasville Value Village, where this mohair winter coat appeared. Its carved wooden buttons could steal the scene in an episode of Mad Men. Paired with Steve Madden's up-to-the-minute boots, her look first caught my eye from a distance in a Decatur coffee shop. When our paths crossed again in Candler Park, it was kismet.
