Save The Date: Tomorrow
Holidays on Peachtree kicks-off at 5pm on December 1, with open houses in Metropolis and 999. Retailers and pop-ups welcome all with wines and cheeses selected by Empire State South. Shopping locally was never so much fun as it will be this season in Midtown.

Ethereal Lace In Poncey-Highland
The San Francisco district of Haight-Ashbury is a mecca for free spirits and where she found this lacy scarf. Her inner bohemian paired it with a gift of black lace for a look both subtle and profound. From travel souvenirs to tokens of affection, the elements of our style define us as much as we define them. Have you a special pairing all your own?
In Virginia-Highland: A Life Shared
Today's themes of lasting love and bicycles continued when I encountered two friends from the Seersucker Social and Heels On Wheels rides. They had been shopping at the Army Surplus Store, still in business all these years at 342 Peachtree Street, where they found her scarf. The plaid skirt was a lucky thrift score from long ago at Last Chance in Morrow, Georgia and remains a wardrobe staple. Target provided their cable knit and Argyle patterned sweaters. What long standing favorites do you hold dear?
In Little Five Points: Timelessness
She first wore this floral print dress as a bridesmaid. Not only does it still fit her, the happy couple celebrated their fortieth wedding anniversary yesterday. 1972 marked the final year of America's Apollo moon missions and the debut of England's Roxy Music. The Raleigh Super Course was a ten-speed bike of choice in that era and this well-preserved example remains someone's pride and joy today.

Harmony Of Line And Color
To be sure, this look was accomplished before she set foot into the world today. When our paths crossed, all I had to do was find a way to salute her wonderful clothes sense. That those horizontal stripes would play so well with the vertical jets of water merely compounded the serendipity of our encounter. Such is the daily life of a street fashion reporter. News came this week that its 450 postings in fifteen months have earned this blog an Atlanta Magazine "Best Of Atlanta" award. On the eve of our national holiday honoring gratitude, my thanks go out to all of you, models, readers and supporters, whose styles and enthusiasms have made Atlanta Street Fashion a communal celebration.

On North Decatur Road
We bloggers are a sociable lot, often leaving comments for one another. Nothing makes one's day quite like a kind word. Such inspiration came this morning from Meredith Howard of Finding Soul Balance, who flattered your portraits while wishing to see them on a larger scale. I was not sure this would be possible within the given template, but it is and henceforth, the impact of 140 additional pixels will be everyone's to enjoy.
scarf: souvenir of Costa Rica, where it served as a beach wrap
stripes & shoes: J. Crew
skirt: Madewell

At The Indie Craft Experience, Part II
gloATL Presents Float
Nothing from Tuesday's rehearsal of Float spoiled the surprise of surreal figures tethered to matching red balloons exploring the storm drains of Piedmont Park like newly-landed aliens. There will be another performance today at 2pm, so take a stroll on the BeltLine.
