Inspired by a friend who gave a kidney to save his father, she screen printed 'recycle life' on a shirt to celebrate the benefaction. So began her line of tees, each a statement of sharing the bounty that surrounds us. Her own giving extends to a blood bank and Locks Of Love. She walks the talk.

A Rainy Day Memory

We had just finished making yesterday's portrait when the skies above Virginia-Highland opened. Within minutes, rain gutters were overflowing in the sunshine. Today promises more of the same, so home I stay to catch up on all the mundane chores that somehow accumulate during my searches for fashion outliers. This bit of fun recalls a soggy day from May of 2009.
