Dael's Casuals is a popular line of clothing in a distant corner of America that I'd love to visit, Hawaii. Screen printed with highlights of gold and silver, their muʻumuʻu sparkled on a grey Atlanta day. She found it at the Salvation Army in President Obama's favorite beach resort, Kailua. Shoes by Dollhouse were a $5 clearance item at Ross. Some people have all the luck!

We had just finished making yesterday's portrait when the skies above Virginia-Highland opened. Within minutes, rain gutters were overflowing in the sunshine. Today promises more of the same, so home I stay to catch up on all the mundane chores that somehow accumulate during my searches for fashion outliers. This bit of fun recalls a soggy day from May of 2009.
