While autumn chills the southern US, Arkansan Lauren James is looking toward her first line of dresses for 2014. Her choice of seersucker for the classically styled sundresses proved popular with buyers and is bound to make a splash at spring lawn parties. More of the collection and their inspiration are found on her blog.

From the gulf coast town of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida comes an original line of clothing "inspired by the feminine and bohemian styles of yesterday". Her embroidered bicycle brings to mind lazy summer days seaside, icecream and salt air, sand and sunscreen.

Atlanta Apparel, Part VI

Her BIYA | JOHNNY WAS dress proved a good match for today's false spring, being a somber, seasonal color yet gossamer for the unseasonal warmth. Its details are the stuff of romance.

Wooden Ships knitted wear first came to my attention in this posting from last winter's snow. Despite today's warmth, two brave, lovely souls from the Molly Hurley & Associates showroom modeled the honey comb and mossy green sweaters for me. Let's hope for a few days yet to enjoy such coziness.

A vintage lover, she calls this her Aztec Indian Princess dress and fell in love with it at Aaardvark's Vintage Attic of Venice Beach, California. Grace Hats offered the perfect complementary topper. Rings are from Fancy Sexy Me and shoes are by Sam Edelman.

Suppose you had run of the AmericasMart showrooms to dress a dream team of models. Joe Lupo, left, and  Jesse Garza of Visual Therapy did just that and presented their finds yesterday afternoon in a show called Live Style: The Fashions Of Future Generations. Such events are to-the-trade only. My invitation to mingle with wholesalers, retailers and taste makers came from Nicole Loggins of Yepser, a local internet strategies developer working with the mart to welcome fashion bloggers into the mix. Thanks for having us! For more great looks, please follow this link.
