Here are but a few of the vendors and attendees from today's Vintage Apparel Market Place. Traditional shopkeepers and etsy entrepreneurs alike welcomed the opportunity to gather for such a stylish crowd. DJ Zano mixed "Runway Sounds" and the popular Good Food Truck became a Trike for this festive occasion. Kudos to Marji Ayati and Jacqueline Stringham for organizing such a wonderful pop-up shop.

Xanadu On Krog Street

The Krog tunnel is a scary place to invite someone for an impromptu street portrait, so when the proprietress of Two Tart agreed to meet me for a picture to preview this Saturday's Vintage Apparel Market Place, there was but one favored location. From her enviable closet she chose this 1980's dress recalling "Xanadu-something between disco and new wave." Shoes are L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani. A coffee shop displayed my first exhibition of photographs and today, Marlee's proudly hosts my Oakland Cemetery: A Year In Pictures at the Pencil Factory. Other street fashion photographers have said so and I agree: our blogs walk hand in hand with espresso and latté art. Aurora, Condesa and Steady Hand are also fertile fashion hunting grounds. The atrium at Studioplex invites all manner of expression. Tonight it gave voice to a collection of birdhouses as unique as their designers and all being auctioned for the benefit of Architecture For Humanity. Volunteer Communications Director Chandra Farley rocks a frock from K-la beside the creation of SCAD students Navita Gupta and Zohreh Birjandian.
