Vintage PDK

mid-twentieth century dressing for the B-17 Liberty Belle at Dekalb-Peachtree Airport

  1. Beyond charming. She needs to come visit the 99s Museum of women pilots.

  2. Oh, I just love her Look!!!! She's perfecting the style of the 1940's Pin-Up Girl~ Wonderful Pictures Cameron~ keep up the fantastic work!

  3. Much obliged. Twas windy and cold yet a crowd gathered and with luck I was able to isolate her for a moment or two.

  4. Serendipitous backstory: the lady in green outside of Oakland Cemetery is my wife's dear friend who spent the day knocking around Atlanta with us. When the well-preserved Karman Ghia appeared, I thought 'portrait'! Sunday's blustery chill lent her that intrepid air. Then we noticed the old war bird circling the capitol building. Her dad was a B-17 pilot in the 8th Air Force and we surmised that it might be found at PDK. Within two hours we saw the Liberty Belle taking flight and after its return, walked through the fuselage.
