Phoenix Flies 2016

Do you fancy the rooftop view from the Ponce Condominium, tours of the Fox Theater, and Margaret Mitchell House? All this and more are offered when the Atlanta Preservation Center opens its annual Phoenix Flies this Saturday. Fans of history, architecture and local culture will have more than 100 tours from which to chose in this month long exploration of our city. Please follow this link to the calendar. The Angel of Atlanta, Mary Glover Thurman was a gifted gardener who found solace in widowhood by sharing her flowers with hospital patients. Her memory lives today in an elegant memorial said to favor the style of Daniel Chester French.
