The Madame C. J. Walker Beauty Shoppe/Museum at 54 Hilliard Street not only displays memorabilia of an African-American entrepreneur, but was the studio of WERD radio and today houses some 15,000 vinyl recordings of twentieth century jazz, blues and gospel.
